GNT Expands Activities in North America | 2021-10-18

MIERLO, THE NETHERLANDS – GNT Group, BV, maker of Exberry coloring foods, has announced an initial investment of $ 30 million to expand its operations in North America.

The company’s new facility in North Carolina currently includes a large warehouse, with a technical and culinary experience center expected to follow in August 2022.

“As a world leader in food colors, we see continued demand for our colors as consumption of products formulated with Exberry continues to grow,” said Hendrik Hoeck, CEO of GNT Group. “Part of our strategic growth plan is a phased expansion in North America. I am happy to announce the completion of the initial phase with the commissioning of our warehouse on October 15, 2021. This will bring increased capacity, supply chain efficiency and better inventory control.

The new Technical and Culinary Experience Center scheduled to open next year will offer visitors and culinary teams the opportunity to experiment, create and innovate together, he added. Customers and teams of R&D scientists will use the center to collaborate on color matching, pilot plant testing and more.

“The planned completion of the next phase will bring good finished production even closer to our North American customers,” said Mr. Hoeck. “This will accelerate the time to market of innovation. “

GNT’s Exberry Concentrates are made from fruits, vegetables and edible plants using only gentle physical methods such as chopping, boiling and filtering. The brand offers more than 400 shades suitable for a wide range of food and beverage applications, including confectionery, dairy and bakery products, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and savory applications.
